ThanksGiving
Today, I was on the web reading from a subscription and followed a link to an article of interest. On that page, I saw something even more exciting: Combatants for Peace. I rushed to their home page and my eyes were immediately drawn to the two figures in the center of the opening page banner. They are facing each other -- both out-stretching a hand in greeting while both also have the other hand in an upward "stop" position refusing a rifle behind them.
I was so excited and delighted to find this treasured news. It is what the heart needs to know that man can -- should he so choose -- select peace.

I was so excited and delighted to find this treasured news. It is what the heart needs to know that man can -- should he so choose -- select peace.
At their site, they state that they come together to
cooperate and commit ourselves to the following:
We no longer believe that the conflict can be resolved through violence.
We believe that the blood shed will not end unless we act together to terminate the occupation and stop all forms of violence.
We call for the establishment of a Palestinian State, alongside the State of Israel. The two states can exist in peace and security beside each other.
We will use only non-violent means to achieve our goals and call for both societies to end violence.

Accepting Guidance
Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom. - Lord Buddha
The student in you, needs to make a solid commitment to the teacher in you, to practise meditating on peace every day. This can be as short as 5 minutes a day, but it is very important to practise every day. It's about you, for you, in you. How Convenient!
You will see how the peace in you spreads.
